Free invoice generator
For freelancers, 1099 crew and independent trades. Fill in your hours, rates and expenses on the left and the invoice builds itself on the right. Print it or save it as a PDF and send it.
Your invoice is built in your browser and never uploaded. To get a PDF, pick Print and choose Save as PDF as the printer.
Invoice straight from your logged shifts
In the WorkerHub app the hours are already there. Pick the shifts, and it builds the invoice with your rates and saves it as a PDF, alongside your expenses and mileage log.
How it works
Each work line is quantity times rate. Quantity can be hours, days or a flat 1 for a fixed fee. Expenses are added at cost.
Work = sum of (qty × rate)
Taxable = work − discount
Tax = taxable × tax %
Total due = taxable + tax + expenses
The next invoice number is suggested for you. When you start a new invoice, your own details and payment instructions are kept, and the client, lines and dates are cleared.
Everything is saved in this browser only. Use Save as PDF to keep a copy of each invoice you send.
Questions
What should an invoice include?
Your name and contact details, the client, a unique invoice number, the issue and due dates, what you did with dates or hours, the amount, and how to pay you. Clients pay faster when the payment method is spelled out.
Do I need to charge sales tax?
It depends on your state and what you sell. Many services are not taxed, and some are. Leave tax at 0 unless you know you are required to collect it, and ask a tax professional if you are unsure.
How do I bill mileage?
Add it as an expense, for example "Mileage, 84 mi × $0.725". Use the rate you agreed with the client. The IRS 2026 standard business rate is 72.5 cents a mile.
Is my invoice stored anywhere?
Only in your own browser, so it is still here next time. Nothing is sent to WorkerHub or anyone else. Clearing your browser data removes it.
